Terms of Service

The conditions for using Dotask during beta.

The service and beta

Dotask is an application for organising tasks, projects, routines, schedules and focus sessions, available at dotask.eu. It is an independent project in beta, managed by Ana Luiza Barbosa de Castro, who can be contacted at hello@dotask.eu.

These terms govern use of the service. By using Dotask, you agree to these terms. Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy; this agreement does not replace any specific consent that may be required.

Beta access has no billing implemented in the app. Any future paid offering will have its prices and terms communicated before you subscribe. Simply using the beta will not result in automatic charges.

Account and access authorisation

Emails authorised as beta testers during this phase retain free Pro access after launch, without an expiry date or automatic conversion to a paid subscription. The general conditions for use, security and account closure described in these terms continue to apply.

During beta, only authorised emails can access the app. Requesting access does not create an account or guarantee approval. Signing in with Google or another provider verifies identity but does not replace beta authorisation.

You must use an account you own or are authorised to use, keep contact details accurate and protect access to your device and sign-in provider. Report suspicious access to hello@dotask.eu.

Dotask is not directed at children. If your age or applicable law requires a guardian’s authorisation to use the service, obtain it before creating an account or submitting data.

Your content and collaboration

You retain rights to the tasks, descriptions, projects, images and other content you save. You authorise Dotask and necessary providers to store and process that content to the extent needed to provide the features you choose.

You are responsible for the content you enter and for having authorisation to include third-party data. In shared projects, choose members and permissions carefully: authorised participants may access project data and permitted collaboration actions.

Feedback helps improve the service. Do not include confidential information unnecessary to investigate the issue. Dotask may implement submitted suggestions without an obligation to provide compensation.

Permitted use

Use Dotask for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to access accounts or projects without authorisation, bypass beta approval or security limits, exploit vulnerabilities against third parties, submit unlawful or abusive content, or disrupt the service.

If you identify a security issue, report it responsibly to hello@dotask.eu, without exposing other people’s data.

Integrations and permissions

Calendar, notification, device and voice integrations are optional and depend on your authorisation, provider availability and their respective terms. You can disconnect them in the app or revoke authorisation with the provider.

The Google Calendar integration uses read permissions and does not change events in your Google account. Pomodoro sessions, reminders and sync features support organisation; they do not certify hours worked, provide professional advice or guarantee productivity.

Notification delivery may depend on device permissions, connectivity and external services. Keep other arrangements for critical appointments or alerts.

Availability and changes

During beta, errors, interruptions, feature changes and access restrictions may occur. Dotask may evolve, suspend a feature or end the beta. Where possible, changes with a significant impact will be communicated in advance.

We recommend keeping a copy of your important information. You can request a data export through hello@dotask.eu. The service does not promise uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Suspension and account closure

The person responsible may refuse or revoke beta access and suspend use in cases of abuse, security risk or breach of these terms. Revoking access does not automatically delete account data.

You may stop using the app, delete your account in settings or request data deletion by email. If you no longer have access, contact hello@dotask.eu to request export or deletion, subject to identity confirmation.

Beta requests and feedback follow the specific retention rules in the Privacy Policy.

These terms may be updated to reflect service changes or legal requirements. The current version remains available on this page, identified by its update date; relevant changes will be communicated where appropriate.

Mandatory legal rules apply, including data protection and consumer rights where applicable. These terms do not restrict complaint mechanisms or competent courts provided by law.
